Human Resource Generalist executes the daily responsibilities of the Human Resource Team while supporting the business operations. This role supports and executes processes identified within the Human Resource Business Strategy and overall company culture. The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for demonstrating effective measures that support business success and compliance with local, state and federal employment regulations – including, not limited to: Talent Acquisition, Pre-employment, On-Boarding/Off-Boarding, Compensation and Benefits, Leave of Absence, Corrective Action, Investigations, Performance Management, HRIS, Team Member Recognition Programs, Administrative Functions, Occupational Health and Safety, Workplace Accommodations, Training and Development.

Human Resource Generalist - JOB OVERVIEW

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

    Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

  • Leads new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

  • Ensures timely off-boarding practice and assists with exit interviews.

  • Answers and provide employees with assistance in matters of benefits, payroll, and PTO.

  • Assists corporate office in implementing compensation practices and provide guidance to leaders.

  • Updates data in HRIS and Payroll as required

  • Ensures compliance with OSHA standards and reporting.

  • Provides training to Team Members as needed for compliance and successful business operations.

  • Works closely with Corporate HR Team to implement company policies and best practices

  • Assists in resolving engagement issues with attendance, employee conflict resolution, or other internal matters.

Human Resource Generalist - REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Proficient organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficient time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the Company HRIS.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to build and maintain positive work relationships.

  • Experience in assisting with conflict resolution, corrective action processes and workplace investigations.

  • Ability to collaborate with a team.

  • Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy.

  • Ability to deliver effective presentations and facilitate training.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of three years of human resources experience preferred.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of direct human resources experience.
